Vol. I & II (1998)Tienen a su disposición el experimento que hace cada cierto tiempo Josh Homme con músicos diversos para hacer jam sessions o algo por el estilo en medio de Palm Springs, de estos discos hn salido algunos temas de Queens Of The Stone Age, la banda en que Josh ocupa la mayor parte de su tiempo, parece.
En este disco toca con gente como Reverend Bruno Ponce Jones, Alfredo Hernandez, Dave Catching, John Paul McBain, Fred Drake, el bueno de Brant Bjork, Ben Sheperd y Peter Stahl, no me pidan descripciones de todos ellos, de algunos no tengo la mas puta idea de quienes son.

Vol. III & IV (1998)Esta ves Josh Homme se junta con Peter Stahl, John Paul Mcbain, Ben Shepard, Alfredo Hernandez, Musharitas, Dave Catching, Fred Drake, Jesse (The Devil) Hughes, Loo Balls, Carlo Von Sextron (el mismísimo JH, seudónimo que ocupa en la banda "Eagles Of Death Metal"), Craig Armstrong, T. Fresh, Larry Lalli, Boomer, Chris Goss, Nick Oliveri, Tony Tornay, T.S. McPhee y Marlo Lalli para pergüetanear, tocar un par de webadas totalmente drogados e ir a un topless para celebrar el lanzamiento de este disco y reirse de los 5 compradores de este disco que van a ser estafados.
Definitivamente el desierto tambien quema las neuronas.... prueba de ello son los pedazos de temas que son "The Gosso King of Crater Lake" y "Hogleg" ambos con una particular forma de cantar o mas bien balbucear. Tremendo disco, BAJENLO!! se los ordeno como emperador y dictador de todo lo xerófito que hay en este mundo.

Cresta, si pudiesemos hacer una comparación entre los 3 discos que he publicado por ahora, este es en el que mas marihuana fumaron, lejos el mas experimental, con mas toques punks (se nota la mano de Nick Olivieri) y mayor incursión de sintetizadores.
A Josh se le ocurrió hacer un concurso de poesía para manejar el tema de las letras, les fue basante bien con aquello, y esta es la lista de los poemas:

Vol. VII & VIII (2001)Dentro del stoner existió un sello discográfico emblemático, lo que es Century Media para el metal europeo, o Roadrunner para el metal gringo, lo era Man's Ruin para el stoner, pero como dice en su nombre, se arruinó, las sesiones desérticas anteriores fueron editadas por ellos, esta corresponde a uno de los primeros intentos de la discográfica de Josh Homme, Rekords Rekords, toda esta cagada que he comentado lo hago porque simplemente no tengo mucho que decir de este disco, para mi el mas bajo.
Mark Lanegan, Alain Johannes, Natasha Shneider, Chris Goss, Brendon McNichol, Fred Drake y Nick Eldorado se juntaron con Josh para hacer esto, que por lo menos por la caratula apesta, el disco no tanto, allá haganse de él como un favor personal.

La mano de Pj Harvey se nota, y mucho, esta es la sesión mas intimista o reflexiva, si es que se pueden llamar así, quizas no solo fumaron hierba, sino tambien tragaron peyote, o algo asi, la cosa es que les salió bastante bien el resultado, quedaron un poco atrás esas experimentaciones de los primeros discos, pero no se extrañan, para nada.
Esta es la sesión que cuenta con los invitados mas destacados que los anteriores, nombres como Dean Ween, Dave Catching, Chris Goss, Josh Freese, Alain Johannes, PJ Harvey, Twiggy Rameriez, Joey Castillo, Natasha Shneider, Brian "Big Hands" O'Connor, Troy van Leeuwen, The Tuff Gentlemen deben ser familiares para algunos de uds.
